A Short History of the Club

OUR HISTORY
Since 1958, the Rotary Club of Halifax Northwest, through active service programs and projects both locally and internationally, has established itself as a truly worthy Rotary Club. On the International scene we are working closely with Rotary International to entirely eradicate Polio globally; we have also made substantial contributions to Peer Health Education Programs in Gambia. Serving local community, we actively assist "Women and Children at Risk" charities and programs. Rating high among the club's accomplishments is the sponsorship of two additional Rotary Clubs in the Halifax metro area - The Rotary Club of Bedford-Sackville and the Rotary Club of Halifax Harbourside. Many of the club members were awarded Paul Harris Fellow recognition, served our District 7820 and Rotary International.
Through all these years the club has also tried to merit it's reputation as "The Friendly Club". Good-humoured banter, with which the club began, continues to be enjoyed by members and visitors... so welcome to Rotary International and the Rotary Club of Halifax Northwest!
