The Great Canoe Lottery Draw
held in aid of Halifax Regional Search and Rescue and to help fund a Diabetic Training Camp for the Children of Chernobyl in Belarus. Special thanks to Dr. Herman Hugenholtz who constructed and donated the canoe to Rotary, MinuteMan Press for the great job printing the Tickets and Posters and to Helly Hansen for the donation of 2 Nautilus NPV100 personal flotation devices.

Paul Harris Awards at 51st Charter Dinner
Pres. Dick Hodgson (second from left) introduced three recipients of the Paul Harris award at our Club's 51st Charter Dinner held Wednesday, February 25. Sen. John Buchanan (centre), Murray Edwards,(left), son of Colonel Ernie Edwards, and Betty and Jim Brown (right), wife and son respectfully of Garnet Brown who were present to receive the award on his behalf. Also shown is Guest Speaker and long time Rotarian Peter Power (second from right).
The awards to the three recognized their long standing support of the club's fundraising efforts, especially the Subscription, or Car, Dinner and their many contributions to communities and charities in HRM. Each expressed their appreciation for the award and reminisced about their association with Rotary.
